About Deer Hollow Benefits

We have been in business since 2011, proudly serving the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond! We represent all carriers for health, dental, vision, short term disability, long term disability, FSA, HSA and group life.

We are experts at customer service. We handle all aspects of plan administration from enrollments, termination, interaction with carriers, bill reconciliation, claims assistance and yearly Open Enrollment.

At Deer Hollow Benefits, you will  have a dedicated Account Manager to assist with your day to day needs. We also offer HR Assistance and HR advice, as needed, for our loyal customers. Let us put your mind at ease in these complex times.

Who We Are

We are an employee benefits brokerage company working with Northern California’s small and medium size businesses. As Relationship brokers, we serve as advocates for our clients. We make sure we give all our attention to their needs, as it relates to their employee benefits. We are also a great resource for other types of needed services.

Additional resources include credible, tested and respected partners. Our partners include: Payroll, Workers’ Comp, General Liability, and 401K. Our mission is to help our customers navigate through the daunting process of implementation and management of all of these benefits. No client’s request is too small or too big, for us to assist, in order to take a burden off of their plates. We want to deliver more than is expected!

Christine Lacy

President
Christine was born and raised in San Francisco, went to Mercy High School and graduated from San Jose State University. Her career started with, selling advertising for a weekly shopper. Four years later, she became the Director of Sales and Marketing, for USA TODAY. During that time, she attended Santa Clara University School of Law, at night, and after three years of study, she graduated cum laude and passed the bar on her first attempt! She litigated for 4 years and eventually moved onto specializing in Estate Planning & Living Trusts.
In 2011, Christine started her own company, Deer Hollow Financial & Insurance Services. Her company sold health, dental, vision, life, disability, and long term care plans to small businesses and individuals. In 2013, Christine took on additional responsibilities, as a Client Consultant, with Gallagher Benefits. During this time, she was responsible for selling and managing employee benefit plans for large groups nationally.
Christine is back full time at the helm of Deer Hollow Benefits. As a lawyer and Insurance broker, she brings her breadth of knowledge about insurance and legal needs that all businesses have during this ever-changing time. Deer Hollow Benefits is certified as a California Small Business and Woman Owned Business. Faced with new concern for our planet and to take advantage of new technology, we are moving toward a paper resistant business model in a paper intensive industry. We are always looking for new ways to do better business.

With over 15 years of progressive HR Management experience she has a comprehensive understanding of the complexities of employee management. Detail oriented, proactive self-starter with exceptional business acumen and excellent multi-tasking skills. Passionate about working with people – connecting with employees and improving the organization through positive morale.
Drawing on her experience with IT, Accounting and Consulting organizations, she specializes in exceeding strategic ambitions through enhancing employee morale, talent acquisition, soft-skills training, change management, benefit management, and policy creation and compliance. She thoroughly enjoys working with executives to align company goals through their employees.

Maureen Lohr

Account Manager
Maureen offers an extensive background in customer support and account services with previous professional experiences in her native city of New York working in advertising at Warwick Baker & Fiore and The IBM Product Centers.
As National Account Manager for the Hertz Corporation, Maureen serviced clients such as IBM, GE and Pepsi-Co and was responsible for executive interaction, contract procurement, and day to day customer success.
Most recently Maureen spent the last five years as Manager for a local favorite fine dining restaurant. She is a detailed oriented, customer focused team player. Maureen attended Providence College, is married with 4 children and in her free time she enjoys running, hiking and travel.

Tina Sharma

HR /Digital Media Specialist
Tina is a self-motivated, efficient and diplomatic human resources professional with more than ten years experience in the industry. She believes in being a results oriented, hands-on individual with progressive management expertise, her work style strongly emphasizes teamwork and the principles of self growth. Her specialization skills are: HR Strategy and Execution, Benefits, Training, Peoplesoft HRIS, Talent Acquisition.
She took a sabbatical for her children (1.5 & 5.5yrs) in 2008 until she moved to India in 2010. She joined her family’s real estate business as a HR Consultant. Besides working in the family, she worked as a Wellness Consultant and conducted several successful boot camps. She helped her clients develop and change into a better lifestyle — lead a healthy active lifestyle.
After moving back to the US, she dived straight into the corporate world, and became a co-founder for a software training company. As a co-founder, she was responsible for creating marketing strategy, development of the company, social media and other core work involved during the boot strap start up phase.
